THE 2010 APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 26TH!!!
Dear Fellow Artists:
The Keuka Arts Festival wishes to extend an invitation to exhibit in our 3rd Annual Arts Festival on Saturday, June 12 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. held along the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail and The Penn Yan Boat Launch in Penn Yan, New York.
Outdoor spaces are available for this juried show which will showcase over 50 of the area’s top artists and craftspeople. Best of Show winner will receive free booth rental in 2011. Download the artist application and if you have any questions call Cindy Vaughan at 315-531-9232.
Located along the scenic Keuka Outlet, the Keuka Arts Festival will be a blend of high quality arts and crafts, music, culinary pleasures and wine tastings.
The KAF receives support from the Village of Penn Yan, business sponsorships, private donations, and individual members.
Standards
Medium categories include:
- Ceramic: original clay work other than jewelry
- Drawing: two-dimensional works in pencil, chalk, pastel, charcoal, pen & ink
- Fiber:
- Wearable: any wearable work crafted from fiber, excluding leather and jewelry
- Non-wearable: non-wearable work crafted from fiber including fabric and paper
- Glass: glass work that has been hand-crafted by glass blowing, molding, casting or
- kiln-forming
- Jewelry:
- Precious: any jewelry crafted from precious metals (gold, silver. gemstones, etc.)
- Non-Precious Jewelry: any jewelry crafted from non-precious materials (wood, clay, glass, etc.)
- Leather: any work crafted on leather other than jewelry
- Metal: any work crafted from metal other than jewelry
- Painting: two-dimensional works in paint
- Photography: prints created from the artist’s original negative processed by the artist or under direct supervision of the artist
- Printmaking & Graphics: original works created using traditional printmaking methods
- including block, lithograph, serigraph, etc.
- Sculpture: three-dimensional original work created in any medium
- Wood: original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved
Final interpretation of criteria will be by the Festival’s jury.
Judging will take place Saturday and awarded Sunday. An exhibitor must attend both days to be eligible for any awards.
Freestanding exhibits are limited to 10 x 10 feet ; 10 x 15 and 10 x 20 (see application for details).
Parking will be available at the boat launch site. We will have carts and volunteers available to help the vendors move their wares, if needed. Parking information will be provided when you check in at the Festival Headquarters located at the boat launch. Check-in is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday June 11.
For the comfort and safety of the Art Show patrons, please do NOT bring pets.
By unanimous request of past artist exhibitors, the show will go on RAIN OR SHINE.
Please return the completed ENTRY FORM and mail with your fees as soon as possible.
